Swimmer Zheltyakov is the best young athlete
Expert commission National Olympic Committee of Ukraine recognized as a high jumper Yaroslav Maguchikh the best athlete of Ukraine in 2023.
Let us remind you that Maguchikh won a gold medal at the World Championships in Budapest in August. In addition, she won three stages during 2023 (in Moroccan Rabat, Chinese Xiamen and Belgian Brussels), as well as the Diamond League Superfinal.
In October, Yaroslava entered the final three in the category of the best athlete of 2023 according to European Athletics, and was also among the contenders for the title of best athlete of the year in the world.
Recently, for the second year in a row, Maguchikh was recognized as the best athlete in Ukraine according to the Association of Sports Journalists of Ukraine.
Personal mentor of Yaroslava Tatiana Stepanova was named the best coach of the year according to the NOC.
An 18-year-old swimmer will receive the award for the best young athlete of 2023 in Ukraine Alexander Zheltyakovwho at the 2023 Junior World Swimming Championships in Netanya, Israel, won two gold and one silver medals, and also fulfilled the Olympic standard in two distances and set a new record for Ukraine.
Zheltyakov’s personal coach – Alexander Kulik — became the best coach of a young athlete in 2023.
The NOC of Ukraine recognized Maguchikh as the best athlete in the country in August of this year. Zheltyakov became a laureate in his nomination based on the results of July and September.
