Athletistic/Figure skating. Coach Tatiana Tarasova expressed her position on the statement of the acting president of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) Anton Sikharulidze on the country’s intention to tighten the policy regarding the transfer of skaters to other teams national.

“I think Sikharulidze is reacting correctly to this situation. After all, significant resources are invested in figure skating. This is long-term work, not limited to a day or a month. When you put your hopes in athletes and they give up despite the work they put in, it can be a little disappointing. Even if level crossings cannot be banned, they must comply with certain rules,” Tarasova emphasized in an interview with SE.

After the Russian figure skating team was suspended from international competitions, many athletes decided to change their citizenship. For example, Olympic participants Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin, who compete for Georgia.

Dance duo Annabelle Morozova and Igor Eremenko are considering the possibility of changing their sports citizenship to French, and figure skater Sofya Samodelkina is considering representing Kazakhstan.
