Kolesnichenko: “Thanks to the Russian Olympic Committee for the payment and support”

Three-time Olympic champion Svetlana Kolesnichenko expressed gratitude to the Russian Olympic Committee for the special payment in case of exclusion from international competitions.

Earlier, the head of the ROC, Stanislav Pozdnyakov, announced that all Russian participants in the Olympic Games of different years, who are currently active athletes, will receive payments in the absence of international competitions. Gold medal holders will receive 500,000 rubles, silver medalists – 350, bronze – 250, sole participants – 150. At the same time, Pozdnyakov explained that athletes who accepted the IOC conditions for neutral status in the context of the suspension of the ROC are not entitled to receive such compensation from the national Olympic committee.
