Gorelkin – about the return of Stepanova and Bukin: “We looked at them, took an example. Glad they’re back.”

Skaters Sofia Leontieva And Daniel Gorelkin who practice ice dancing, said they were happy to see the duo Alexandra Stepanova/Ivan Bukin return to competition.

Last September, Stepanova and Bukin interrupted their careers due to an injury to their partner. Then it became known that Stepanova was expecting a child. The skaters won gold at the last Russian championship.

— They congratulated us after the free dance. We have worked with them for a very long time. We looked at them and followed their example. Now we have a good relationship. We are very happy that they have returned to competition. It inspires respect,” Gorelkin said at the Championship.

“It was very comfortable to work with them, we really liked skating on the same ice with them,” Leontyeva noted.
