Melashchenko is among the candidates for the post of head coach

Melashchenko has two championships in the Ukrainian Premier League 2000/2001 and 2002/2003, the Ukrainian Cup 2003 and the Poltava Region Cup 2010.
As a football player, he also played for the Ukrainian national team, where he played 16 matches and scored 3 goals.
In December 2015, Alexander Melashchenko joined the coaching staff of the Ukrainian youth team. Now he works together with Ruslan Rotan in the country’s Olympic team.
According to Sport Arena, legionnaires-legends of the Poltava club – Albanian Armen Dallku and Serbian Jovan Markoski – are also vying for the vacant post of head coach of Vorskla.
