“As long as our skaters are not there, let them at least spend it in Zimbabwe.” Yagudin – about new Grand Prix venues

Olympic figure skating champion Alexei Yagudine said he was not interested in new venues for Grand Prix tournaments until Russian athletes participated.

On Monday, the International Skating Union (ISU) announced that the Grand Prix stages moved from Russia and China would take place in Espoo (Finland) and Sheffield (England).

– I don’t give a damn! Grand Prix stages are held in many countries – the USA, Canada, China, Russia, Japan, Germany have been for a long time. While ours are not there, even if they spend it in Zimbabwe,” Sport24 Yagudin quotes.
