Averbukh – about Sikharulidze’s words about the participation of figure skaters in the show in front of the Chechen Republic: “No one demands quadruple jumps at the show”

Choreographer Ilya Averbukh said he did not agree with the words of the acting president of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) Anton Sikharulidze who said top athletes should not take part in shows before major competitions.

Earlier, Sikharulidze, in an interview with RIA Novosti, expressed the opinion that the country’s leading figure skaters should not participate in shows before the Russian Championship. According to him, some athletes abuse it.

— Do you agree with what Sikharulidze said about the series?

– Don’t think. It all depends on performance. Let’s take a gala performance, Dima Aliyev and Mark Kondratyuk performed, one performed well, the other did not. Here is a living example. I think it all depends on the athlete’s inner mood. No one demands quadruple jumps at the living room.
