General Director of Chernomorets Misyura: If one of the football players wants to go defend the country, no one will stop him

The functionary believes that there should be some guarantees for football players

CEO Chernomorets Anatoly Misyura told his vision of the situation with “reservation” for Ukrainian football players who continue to play during the war.

“The football players fulfill their tasks, the national team plays in international tournaments, where they defend the honor of Ukraine. The national team is made up of players from football clubs. And if the clubs don’t play, then who will make up the Ukrainian national team?”

“There should be some guarantees for the players who will play until the end of the championship and will continue to play. They work, they don’t play. The work is paid and taxed. We understand that there is a war going on. If any of the football players wants to go and defend the country, no one will hinder or refuse him.”

Chernomorets is in eighth place in the UPL with 22 points. The Sailors will open the spring part of the Ukrainian Championship with a match against Obolon, the base date of the meeting is February 24.

Early in the morning of February 24, 2022, Russia fired rockets and aerial bombardment of most Ukrainian cities, and then launched a full-scale military invasion. The war against Russia has continued for the 674th day.
