Chernomorets broke up with goalkeeper Shevchenko

Alexey played five matches during the first part of the season

Chernomorets officially announced his separation from the goalkeeper Alexey Shevchenko.

The experienced goalkeeper joined the Sailors in the summer of 2023, signing as a free agent after the end of his contract with Shakhtar.

During the first half of the season, Alexey played five matches for Chernomorets, missed 8 goals, and managed to keep the goal locked in one match. The victorious match of the 4th round of the UPL against Dynamo (3:2) stands out, in which the goalkeeper scored an assist for Andrey Shtogrin.

31-year-old Shevchenko played professionally for Metallurg (Zaporozhye), Dynamo-2, Hoverla, Olympic, Georgian Torpedo (Kutaisi) and Dila, Zarya, Karpaty and Shakhtar (2018 – 2023, 9 matches).

Chernomorets is in eighth place in the UPL with 22 points. The Sailors will open the spring part of the Ukrainian Championship with a match against Obolon, the base date of the meeting is February 24.
