Absolute world champion in two weight categories Naoya Inoue recognized best boxer 2023 according to ESPN.
The Japanese won all the bantamweight belts in December 2022, after which he rose to the second bantamweight division. Inoue defeated Stephen Fulton by TKO in the eighth round in July to win the WBC and WBO titles.
