“In figure skating we have four disciplines, so it is difficult to choose just one. The Russian championship was held recently in Chelyabinsk, and if Bukin and Stepanova are the ice dancing champions, Semenenko became the best among men and Petrosyan became the best among women, that means they are the best,” Trankov said according to Sport24.
In the pair sports competition, Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov won the Chechen championship. Their coach is also Maxim Trankov.
Note that Trankov did not include Olympic champion Kamila Valieva among the strongest figure skaters of 2023. This season, the 17-year-old Russian won the Moscow Grand Prix and also won a bronze medal at the national championship .
