Milevsky: I don’t think it’s so important now to speak Ukrainian. Many military personnel speak Russian

Milevsky himself believes that the language issue is not the main one in the current situation in the country

Former Dynamo and Ukrainian national football player Artem Milevsky spoke about the issue of Ukrainian and Russian languages in everyday life.

“We didn’t have a Ukrainian school, we always trained, we didn’t have time to learn the Ukrainian language. Moreover, everyone spoke Russian.”

“I don’t think it’s so important to speak Ukrainian now. You need to have your own position. And many of the military men who fight – many of them speak Russian. I don’t see any problem in this. And in general, I am a Belarusian, we always spoke Russian. So I don’t think it’s a purely important language.”

Let us remind you that in September 2023, 38-year-old Milevsky, known for his performances for Dynamo and the Ukrainian national team, was admitted to the clinic. According to his friend and ex-partner in the Kyiv club and national team, Alexander Aliyev, Artem’s condition was “very serious,” and his treatment and rehabilitation were fully paid for by Dynamo President Igor Surkis.

Milevsky, in addition to Dynamo, played for a considerable number of foreign clubs of various calibers. He ended his career in 2021 in Minaya.

The former football player remained in Kyiv after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion and volunteered. Artem also refused to join the terrorist defense at Aliyev’s suggestion. Subsequently, information appeared about his participation in the film “Dovbush” as an episodic character. Journalist Igor Tsyganyk stated that Milevsky could join Dynamo’s management.
