President of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) Alexander Gorshkov called it strange that Russian figure skating referees passed on advanced training standards to representatives of Western countries.
According to , some Russian referees failed to pass advanced training standards at the International Skating Union (ISU) seminar in Frankfurt. In particular, Sergey Roslyakov applied for the position of technical specialist in pair skating at ISU tournaments, Elena Fomina – technical controller in single skating and Olga Kozhemyakina – technical controller in pair skating at international competitions below Grand Prix championships and UIS.
“I haven’t spoken to the people who interviewed our judges, so I can’t say whether it was a planned action or not. But the fact that our referees didn’t pass the advanced training, which was conducted by people from Australia, Canada, Germany and England, seems strange, Gorshkov told Metaratings.ru.
