Salnikov: “This year the athletes felt that we could organize high-level competitions”

President of the All-Russian Swimming Federation Vladimir Salnikov said that in 2023, athletes were confident of the possibility of holding high-level national competitions and also wished everyone confidence in their own abilities in 2024.

In 2024, the key competitions for swimmers will be the Russian Championships (in Kazan and St. Petersburg), the BRICS Games in Kazan and the Friendship Games in Yekaterinburg.

— We will have interesting competitions in 2024. This year, our athletes have already felt that we can organize competitions at the highest level in the country and thus contribute to their motivation. Next year we will have the BRICS Games and the World Friendship Games, which will add even more interest. I wish everyone confidence in their own abilities in 2024, because we are capable of such achievements that we sometimes do not expect from ourselves.
