The Ukrainian women’s team plans to play a home match of the Nations League playoffs with Bulgaria in Turkey

The fight is scheduled for February 27

Acting head coach Ukrainian women’s national football team Vladimir Pyatenko spoke about the team’s plans to prepare for the Nations League Division B playoff matches against Bulgaria.

“We are going to Kyiv on February 15th. The next day we plan to go to Antalya, Turkey, where we will have a short training camp. If we are unlucky with sparring, we will limit ourselves to a two-way game. After we sort things out in the city of Kardzhali on February 23 in the first match with the Bulgarians, we will return to Turkey, because we are going to play the return match in this country.”

“Of course, the lack of match practice among my players is worrying, but I am glad that those football players who we were not able to use in the last official matches are successfully recovering from injuries.”

Let us remind you that the Ukrainian national team took third place in Group 3 of Division B of the Nations League and will play with Bulgaria in the playoffs for the opportunity to retain their place in the division. The winner of the confrontation will play in League B as part of the Euro 2025 qualification; the losing team will play in League C.

The first meeting between Ukraine and Bulgaria will take place on February 23 in Kardzhali at the Arda Arena. The return match will take place on February 27.
