Hearn: Joshua has a lot of motivation to try his hand at big fights. He wants a fight with Fury and a rematch with Usik

Anthony is ready to compete against serious opponents in 2024

Eddie Hearnpromoter of former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshuabelieves that AJ is ready to conquer new boxing heights in 2024.

“Obviously AJ is hot right now. We’re planning our next move and these conversations have been evolving since that night [боя Джошуа — Валлин]as we plan for a busy 2024.”

“With all due respect, we have a plan. Andy Ruiz, Frank Sanchez, Joseph Parker, but really the only thing AJ wants is to fight big, win the world heavyweight title and fight Tyson Fury or fight Usyk again. This is what he wants [тренер Джошуа] Ben [Дэвисон]”Ben wants another hit on Usyk.”

“For me, obviously I would love a fight with Fury. When you look at a fight in March, a fight in September, maybe two fights against the Fury-Usyk winner, you’re talking about four or five fights in the future, that’s it.”

Let’s remember that Hearn reported that AJ plans to return to the ring in March in Saudi Arabia. According to the promoter, Joshua’s potential opponents include IBF heavyweight mandatory challenger Filip Hrgovic, WBO interim belt holder Zhang Zhilei and former UFC champion Francis Ngannou.

It was previously assumed that Joshua would fight Deontay Wilder in March. However, the fight fell through due to the American’s defeat by Joseph Parker.

At the end of December, Joshua confidently defeated Otto Wallin, who refused to continue the fight after the 5th round, as part of the “Day of Reckoning”. Anthony stated that he was ready to fight the next fight with anyone.
