By decision of the FIS, Russian and Belarusian athletes have been suspended from international competitions since March 2022 due to the situation in Ukraine.
“I wish the fans in 2024 to continue to love ski racing, to continue watching their idols, to continue coming to the ski stadiums. And look at our best athletes. The time is not far away when borders will be opened and the best athletes will compete abroad and be rare guests at home in Russia. We must take advantage of the presence of our leaders at our competitions.
