The winner’s result in the final was 2 minutes and 15.07 seconds. Swede Edwin Anger finished second, losing 0.25 seconds to the winner. The leading trio was closed by the Italian Federico Pellegrino (+0.44).
Women’s Representative of Sweden Lynn Swan became the winner of the free sprint. In the final, she covered the distance in 2 minutes and 32.5 seconds. At the finish, she was beaten by Norwegian Kristin Skistad by 1.30 seconds. American Jessica Diggins finished third, 1.73 seconds behind.
On Thursday, January 4, the men’s and women’s pursuit races will take place.
