According to , the International Skating Union (ISU) is due to release a list with the breakdown of next season’s Grand Prix Series stage skaters on July 14.
Previously, reported that the ISU could not release the entry list because two of the series’ six stages had no hosts. Later it became known that the stage transferred from Russia would be given to Finland (Espoo) and the tournament, which China refused due to the coronavirus, to Britain’s Sheffield. On Tuesday, the ISU confirmed this information by marking the respective cities on the calendar.
However, according to , this was a premature announcement. Currently, both stages appear again without a host city, as the ISU was originally due to announce their postponement on July 14 – the same day with the full split of skaters into stages.
Russian and Belarusian figure skaters do not participate in tournaments under the auspices of the ISU due to a ban imposed by the union in the context of the situation in Ukraine. In Russia next season will be held an analogue of the international series under the conditional name of the Russian Grand Prix.
