Roma won a strong-willed victory over Cremonese and reached the quarter finals of the Italian Cup

Wolves trailed for a long time against the Serie B team, but scored twice in the last quarter of an hour

Roma beat on home field with great difficulty Cremonese in the 1/8 finals Italian Cup – 2:1.

The seventh team in Serie A could not do anything for a very long time against the fifth team in Serie B, although they had a noticeable advantage. Moreover, the teams went into the break with a sensational score of 0:1 – Frank Tsaju, in a rare attack, dealt with two defenders and a goalkeeper.

In the second half, Roma increased the pressure, and the opponent’s defense ultimately could not withstand it. Jose Mourinho’s replacements played: first, the fresh Serdar Azmun sent Romelu Lukaku to the visitors’ goal, and then Leonardo Spinazzola earned an undisputed penalty, which was confidently converted by Paulo Dybala.

Only in the last quarter of an hour did the favorite manage to put the finishing touches on the underdog and make a comeback. In the final seconds, Stefan El Shaarawy could have scored the third, but missed the empty goal from a distance.

In the quarterfinals we will have the Eternal City derby – Roma advanced to Lazio in the tournament bracket.
