Costume designer Irina Konovalova told that the Russian figure skater Alena Kostornaya did not fulfill its obligations towards it in terms of advertising publications on social networks.
On Wednesday, designer Alena Kuklycheva wrote on social media that she was ending her collaboration with Kostornaya and asked the skater to return all the costumes she had not paid for. Later, the designer told that Kostornaya owed her 240,000 rubles for sewing costumes, but the figure skater told her that she owed nothing. The athlete noted that the contract for sewing competition costumes for the 2023/24 season was concluded with the Moscow Figure Skating Federation. Konovalova collaborates with Kuklycheva on costume design.
— The costumes for the show were made for advertising, the competition costumes were made for money. I did the job for the publicity, that is, they promised me a job. Last year I did a piece of work – let alone an article, there wasn’t even a single mention. Unfortunately, this all resulted in conflict.
— Alena wrote that she only now discovered that the advertising format in the messages was not suitable.
“Last year I made a crown for him for the Bremen musicians, exactly a year has passed and since then there has not been a single mention of my work. All this is really not clear to me.
— Are you disappointed to work with figure skating?
— I have been doing figure skating myself, as an amateur, for four years. So no. Every day I love her more and more,” Konovalova told .
