Ukrainian left Turkish Çukurova Mersin in December
Leader and captain Ukrainian women’s team in basketball Alina Yagupova will continue his career in Valencia. The Ukrainian signed a contract with the Spanish club until the end of this season.
At the end of December, Yagupova left the Turkish Çukurova Mersin. The three-year agreement was terminated by mutual consent.
The Ukrainian played 13 matches in the Turkish Championship, in which she scored 13.0 points, 5.5 assists and 5.0 rebounds. In the Euroleague, the Ukrainian played 10 matches, where she averaged 16.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.
Last season Alina became the winner of the Euroleague. The Ukrainian was also a member of the symbolic team of the European tournament and twice became the MVP of the Women’s Euroleague.
Valencia is the leader of the Spanish Women’s League. In the next match, Yagupova’s team will play Hernika Vizcaya on January 6.
