Chairman of the Board Girona and football agent Pere Guardiola denied rumors of transfer offers for the striker Artem Dovbik.
“We have not received any offers from Chelsea for Artem Dovbik, despite recent rumors. Zero offers. We don’t want to sell anyone.”
It has been reported that Chelsea are willing to pay Girona £39 million for Dovbik’s transfer in January. Blues head coach Mauricio Pochettino is interested in signing a big forward who will create competition for Nicholas Jackson.
Earlier, Dovbik’s agent Alexey Lyundovsky said that the Ukrainian forward would not change his team in the winter transfer window. The striker played for Dnepr-1 and Girona and will not be able to play for another club this season.
The Ukrainian forward played 19 matches for the White-Reds in all tournaments of the season. Dovbik has 11 goals and seven assists.
Girona snatched a victory over Atlético Madrid (4:3) in the last match and is in second place in the Examples. In the next match, the team of Dovbik and Viktor Tsygankov will play against Elche in the Spanish Cup on January 6.
