Vasily Tupchiy provided worthy competition to the captain of the Ukrainian national team
Volleyball Federation of Ukraine summed up the voting results for best volleyball player of Ukraine-2023. The winner for the second year in a row was Oleg Plotnitskyfinisher for Italian Perugia and captain of the Ukrainian national team.
Let us remember that a year ago Oleg confidently won the vote from the FVU. In 2023, he became a silver medalist in the Euroleague and a bronze medalist in the Candidates’ Cup. Together with the club, Plotnitsky won the Italian Super Cup and the Volleyball Club World Championship, where he was recognized as MVP.
The voting was combined. The main survey involved 42 people – experts, coaches, journalists, as well as captains of Super League teams and national teams of Ukraine. A survey was also conducted among fans – 2,442 respondents took part in it.
In the final ranking, Plotnitsky had worthy competition from Vasily Tupchiy, who ended up 24 points behind.
