The ex-world champion opens training camp on January 8 and continues to look for opponents
Former interim WBO heavyweight world champion Joe Joyce said that he plans to have two or three fights in 2024 and continues to look for opponents.
“Time has passed since my defeat to Zhang and I am looking forward. “I plan to get back in the ring in March for a lighter fight and then if I win I’ll do some big fights at heavyweight.”
“I would fight any of them: Daniel Dubois, Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder and Joseph Parker. There are a lot of interesting fights going on these days, especially with what’s going on in Saudi Arabia. But I need to settle in, win again and then go for the big test.”
“The camp will officially begin on January 8th with some minor changes to the team. I’ll be hosting a camp in England, led by Steve Broughton. Perhaps there will be another physical training coach. I think I’ll have two or three fights this year.”
Joyce suffered two losses in a row to Chinese heavyweight Zhang Zhilei. The Briton lost his WBO interim title in April 2023 and then lost by knockout in a rematch in September.
