The Cameroonian reacted to the announcement of his future fight with Anthony Joshua
Former UFC world champion Francis Ngannou reacted to the announcement of his fight with the ex-champion in heavyweight Anthony Joshua.
“We are making big moves in the new year. 2024 will be a fiery year,” the Cameroonian wrote on social networks.
Earlier, Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn announced that the Briton would fight Ngannou next in the Saudi capital of Riyadh. The official press conference dedicated to the event will be held on January 15 in London.
The fight is expected to take place on March 9. The Briton’s fight with Deontay Wilder was scheduled for this date before the American lost to Joseph Parker. Hearn stated that the fight with Wilder is dead because Deontay is no longer at the level he was previously.
Ngannou lost a decision to WBC champion Tyson Fury in his only boxing fight. The Cameroonian made a good impression against the current champion title holder, knocking down the “Gypsy King” and inflicting several cuts on the Briton.
