Russian figure skater Sofia Samodelkina answered the question of how long she plans to continue her sports career.
In September it became known that 16-year-old Samodelkina left Svetlana Sokolovskaya’s group and joined Evgeni Plushenko’s academy.
— Of course, deep down, I always want to play. I was preparing for the Kazakhstan championship, but I couldn’t go. Now I take it calmly. It only depends on me how many years I will ride. How long, I can’t answer yet. Many people also talk about their intention to ride for a long time, but in reality everything happens differently. Maybe I’ll win my first world championship and say, “Enough!” Or maybe, on the contrary, I will want to compete again and again,” the skater said in an interview with RT.
Samodelkina is the winner of the Russian Grand Prix stage, silver medalist of the Russian Championship.
