Figure skater Sofia Samodelkina talked about doing flips during the show.
“I have always worked with full dedication to training, I always wanted to skate. In other words, it wasn’t like that when you went out on the ice and said: lazy, it’s hard, I won’t do anything today. Even when it’s really hard, you can always find something to do. Slide more, twist. But last year, when I was still skating at CSKA, I was not at all in the mood to try the axel – it didn’t work for me physically, I don’t know why. I attribute this to growth, because I don’t even see any other reasons.
Now everything has coincided: the jumps have started to recover, the coaches are supportive and the environment is conducive. When the jump is successful in training, then at the show you want to try something more difficult. If it works, it’s incredibly energizing,” the skater said in an interview with RT.
