Three penalty loops and 17 additional rounds are the key to a disappointing result
Team Norway won the men’s relay in the fourth stage World Cup 2023/24 biathlon in German Oberhof.
The Norwegians completed the course without penalty loops and used seven additional rounds. Second place went to the German team, which was more than two minutes behind the winners. The Italians finished third.
Ukrainian national team as part of Artem Prima, Dmitry Pidruchny, Anton Dudchenko and debutant Vitaly Mandzyna performed below expectations, finishing only in 13th place. The blue-and-yellows earned three penalties and spent 17 additional rounds of ammunition at once. Their final gap from the leader was 6 minutes and 47 seconds.
Let us remind you that at its previous relay race, in Hochfilzen, Austria, the Ukrainian men’s team came fifth.
