Former defender of Dnepr and the Ukrainian national team Bogdan Shershun has died

A famous Ukrainian football player died at the age of 43 Bogdan Shershun.

Journalist Vladimir Zverov reported about Shershun’s death. It is reported that Bogdan had a long and prolonged illness, which the famous player was unable to cope with.

Shershun, when he was a player, played for Dnepr, Arsenal, Volyn, Krivbass and CSKA Moscow, with whom he won the UEFA Cup in 2005. He has four matches in the Ukrainian national team.

At the end of his professional career, Shershun played for the amateur FC Sluch from Starokonstantinov in the championship of the Khmelnitsky region. Bogdan also repeatedly participated in matches for the Ukrainian national team among veterans, was an expert in a number of media and received a UEFA coaching diploma of category A.
