Rukh appointed Bakalov as head coach of the U-19 team

Former youth coach Sergei Zadorozhny left the club

Rukh appointed head coach of the team U-19 Director of the Club Academy Yuri Bakalov. Sergei Zadorozhnywho previously headed the youth team, left the club.

Bakalov’s first assistant on the coaching staff will be Mikhail Dyachuk-Stavitsky. Also, the new coach will be assisted by Boris and Grigory Barantsy, and Kirill Vanyukov will replace Andrei Moisin as goalkeeper coach.

Zadorozhny has worked at the club since October 2023. Under his leadership, Rukh U-19 played ten matches, in which they won five victories and suffered four defeats. In the UEFA Youth League, Zadorozhny’s team lost on aggregate to the Danish Midtjylland in the second round of the Champions Path.

Bakalov led the first team of Rukh in 2019. The coach left the club due to the pandemic and then worked at LNZ. In January 2023, the specialist returned to Rukh and headed the club Academy.

Rukh U-19 takes fourth place in the Ukrainian Youth Championship. The team will play its first official match under the leadership of the new coach against the youth team of Polesie in February.
