President of the All-Russian Swimming Federation (RSF) Vladimir Salnikov said the decision to participate in the Olympic Games in neutral status is up to the athletes.
Previously Russian Yulia Efimova in an interview with , she said she did not rule out the possibility of performing at the Paris Olympics.
“As a federation, we have expressed our opinion on the admission criteria, but the decision is up to the athlete. The conditions for participation in neutral status in the Olympic Games are known to everyone; the decision and all risks related to performance are taken by the athlete himself,” Salnikov told .
The Paris Summer Olympics will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
