The Ukrainian failed to make it to the qualifying final, losing to Australian Inglis
Ukrainian tennis player Katarina Zavatskaya failed to follow the example of three compatriots and reach the qualifying finals Australian Open 2024.
Our compatriot lost to Australian Maddison Inglis in a confrontation that lasted just over two hours. In the first set, the local tennis player won the tiebreak (7:3), and in the second she managed to break twice (6:3).
Let us remind you that earlier Dayana Yastremskaya, Yulia Starodubtseva and Daria Snigur won their matches at this stage. The latter will just get a chance to take revenge on Inglis for Zavatskaya – it is with Maddison that Daria will have to play for the right to reach the main draw.
Yastremskaya will meet another Australian Maya Joynt in the qualifying final, and Starodubtseva will fight Czech Gabriela Knutson.
