Ukrainian biathletes Dmitry Pidruchny And Artem Prima will miss personal races at the fifth stage World Cup in German Ruhpolding. The leaders of the Ukrainian team will not take part in the sprint and, accordingly, will not be able to take part in the pursuit race.
Pidruchny and Prima went to Obertilliach, Austria, where they will prepare for the European Championships (January 24-28) and the World Championships (February 7-18). They will also miss the World Cup in Antholz-Anterselva (18-21 January).
Thus, 5 biathletes remained in the application of the Ukrainian national team for the stage in Ruhpolding: Anton Dudchenko, Artem Tishchenko, Taras Lesyuk, Denis Nasyko and Vitaly Mandzyn.
Today, the Ukrainian men’s team (Prima, Pidruchny, Nasyko and Mandzyn) failed the relay in Ruhpolding, finishing the team race in 18th place.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian women’s team remained in Ruhpolding with a truncated composition. Immediately after the relay, Irina Petrenko, Anastasia Merkushina and Kristina Dmitrenko went to Antholz, where they will prepare for the European Championships.
In tomorrow’s sprint, Ukraine will be represented by Yulia Jima, Lyubov Kipyachenkova, Elena Gorodnaya and Nadezhda Belkina.
