Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed Moscow authorities to prepare the city’s ice rinks for holding international and all-Russian cultural and sporting events.
The document on the Kremlin website says that the Moscow government, together with the Russian Ministry of Sports and the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) should submit proposals on the possibility of organizing such events.
The reporting deadline set by the documents is August 15, 2022. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin and FFKKR chief Alexander Gorshkov are among those responsible.
