The development of safety measures continues to make it possible to return spectators to the stands
The president PFL Alexander Kadenko said that he is discussing with clubs about the possibility of allowing spectators in the stands at matches First And Second League.
“This issue has been under control for a long time. Unfortunately, much does not depend on our desire or the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the communities where the teams are located. There is war in Ukraine. However, we try to constantly contact clubs about holding matches with fans.”
“We agreed that by the end of February each club must give a specific answer: how many fans can be accommodated in a bomb shelter during an air raid? Of course, the number of seats in the stands will be taken into account.”
“Since the second part of the competition under the auspices of the PFL starts on March 23, we will have enough time to develop clear security measures for each team that would make it possible for fans to be present at football matches.”
Let us recall that in November, the President of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine (FBU) Mikhail Brodsky addressed an open letter to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal, in which he asked for assistance in returning spectators to the stands. In February, the Ukrainian Hockey Federation made a similar request to the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine has developed security measures for the admission of fans to the stands during sporting events. The Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) is working on a mechanism for allowing spectators. In particular, officials plan to introduce a social quota of fans who will be able to attend games.
Please note that spectators have been allowed in the Volleyball Super League since January. On Friday, January 12, the first matches of the season with spectators in the FAVBET Basketball Super League took place in Lutsk.
