Ukrainian figure skater Ivan Shmuratko took 14th place in men’s single skating European Championship 2024which takes place in Kaunas, Lithuania.
The athlete showed the 19th result in the short program, and improved his position after the free program. Based on the sum of the two numbers, Shmuratko scored 210.65 points. Adam Xiao Him Fa from France became the European champion, Estonian Alexander Selevko became second, Matteo Rizzo from Italy was third.
“In figure skating, it can’t be difficult at all regarding everything that happens during the day, in life, with our loved ones. It is an honor to be at the European Championships and represent Ukraine. The most important thing is the implementation, then come the technical elements, some components. And so, for me the main thing is the feeling, I don’t analyze it yet,” the skater said after the performance.
Shmuratko competed at the European Championships for the third time. The Ukrainian’s best result is 12th place in 2022. The 2024 European Championship will end on January 14.
