Andrey Sobakarev won the sprint race qualification at the fifth stage of the Alfa-Bank Russian Cup in cross-country skiing in Kazan.
Sobakarev became the best with a result of 3 minutes 0.62 seconds, ahead of the leader of the general classification Alexandra Bolshunova of 0.74 seconds. The third was Konstantin Tyunov (+3.04 seconds).
Women showed the best results Anastasia Kirillova who covered the distance in 3 minutes 35.59 seconds.
The second time showed Alena Baranova (+0.42). The third was Anastasia Faleeva (+0.54).
The start of the decisive races (depending on weather conditions) is tentatively scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Moscow time.
