Four representatives of Ukraine made it into the pursuit race
Vetle-Sjåstad Christiansen became the winner men’s sprint at the fifth stage Biathlon World Cup 2023/24 in German Ruhpolding.
Christiansen finished in 22:27.2 with no shooting misses. The representative of Norway was 16.9 seconds ahead of Tommaso Giacomel from Italy. The third was another Norwegian, Tarjei Boe.
The best among the Ukrainians was Denis Nasyko, who completed the sprint in 38th place. He was almost three seconds ahead of Taras Lesyuk.
Vitaly Mandzyn (53rd place) and Artem Tishchenko (59th place) also made it into the pursuit race. Anton Dudchenko finished the race in 70th position.
On Sunday, January 14, the women’s and men’s pursuit races will take place in Ruhpolding.
