Napoli won a victory over Salernitana in the home match of the 20th round Serie A – 2:1.
Midway through the first half, the visitors took the lead thanks to another spectacular goal from 36-year-old Antonio Candreva. Napoli came back before the break – Matteo Politano was accurate from the 11-meter mark.
In injury time, the Neapolitans managed to win. Amir Rrahmani’s goal in the 90+6th minute brought three points to the home team.
Napoli ended their 4-match winless streak in all competitions. Walter Mazzarri’s team is in 6th place in Serie A. Salernitana remained in last position in the standings.
On January 18, Napoli will play Fiorentina in the semi-finals of the Italian Super Cup. Salernitana will face Genoa in Serie A on January 21.
