Italians Charlene Guignard And Marco Fabbri won the ice dancing competition at the European Figure Skating Championships in Kaunas (Lithuania).
Guignard and Fabbri, who were in the lead after the rhythm dance, scored 127.58 points for their free dance. In total, skaters received 214.38 points for both programs.
The second place was taken by the British Laila Fir and Lewis Gibson (210.82), the third place was taken by Allison Reed and Saulius Ambrulevicius from Lithuania (203.37).
Represent Georgia Diane Davis And Gleb Smolkin showed the eighth result – 189.46 points.
Last June, it became known that Davis and Smolkin would represent the Georgian national team starting in the 2023/24 season. Davis is the daughter of Russian coach Eteri Tutberidze, her partner is the son of actor Boris Smolkin.
Guignard and Fabbri became two-time European champions and the duo also won silver at the World Championship.
Russian figure skaters have been suspended from participating in competitions held under the auspices of the International Skating Union (ISU) due to the situation in Ukraine.
