The 20-kilometer women’s skiathlon (10 km classic style and 10 km free style) as part of the fifth stage of the Alfa-Bank Russian Ski Cup will take place on Sunday, January 14 in Kazan.

The individual 10 km freestyle event in Kazan was won by Veronika Stepanova, who announced on Friday that she would skip the skiathlon. Women’s sprint won the fifth stage of the Russian Cup Anastasia Faleeva .
According to bookmakers, the three favorites in the race are Anastasia Kuleshova, Maria Istomina and Alina Pekletsova.
The sixth stage of the Russian Cup will take place in Tyumen in early February.
