On Sunday, January 14, a 20-kilometer men’s skiathlon (10 km classic style and 10 km free style) will take place as part of the fifth stage of the Alfa-Bank Russian Cup in cross-country skiing in Kazan.
The start of the skiathlon is scheduled for 12:30 (Moscow time), watch the live broadcast from 12:25 (Moscow time) on the TV channels “” and “Match! Arena”, as well as the sites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
This season, only three-time Olympic champion Alexander Bolshunov has won the Russian Cup races, with 14 gold medals to his name. In Kazan he won the classic sprint and the individual 15 km freestyle race. The winners in the sprint were Sergey Ardashev and Ivan Gorbunov, and in the individual race – Artem Maltsev and Savely Korostelev.
According to bookmakers, Bolshunov is the favorite in the race; Korostelev, Ilya Semikov, Ardashev, Ermil Vokuev should compete with him.
The next stage of the Russian Cup will take place in Tyumen in early February.
