Athletistic/ Figure skating. Former boxer Nikolai Valuev responded to Tatiana Tarasova’s comments regarding the change in sports citizenship of Russian figure skaters.
Tarasova said the athletes were doing the right thing if they left.
Valuev stressed that this was not a good position. “A change of citizenship plays into the hands of the enemy,” Valuev quotes Sport24.
Previously, Togliatti native Anastasia Gubanova, who represents Georgia, became a silver medalist of the 2024 European Championship.
Currently, Russian skaters are suspended from international competitions.
