Figure skater Sofia Leontieva told that fans gave him an artificial Christmas tree for the New Year.
At the 2024 Russian Championships, Leontyeva and Daniil Gorelkin took fifth place. Based on the sum of the two programs, the duo scored 193.87 points.
— What was the most memorable gift you found under the tree this year?
Daniel: They gave me a bracelet that said “starter” in Morse code. This gift was the most memorable. I gave Sonya something she had wanted for a long time. Sonya is happy. But we would not want to reveal what we have given ourselves.
Sophia: For me, the best gift was from the fans. They gave me a little artificial Christmas tree, it was unexpected and cute.
— Many skaters have a collection of skates for the Christmas tree. Do you collect such toys?
Sophia: We collect. It seems to me that every figure skater has toys on their Christmas tree in the form of skates, ballerinas and figure skaters.
Daniel: There are also five or six skates on my Christmas tree.
