Blancos won 33 trophies during Perez’s reign
The president Real Madrid Florentino Perez became the author of a unique record.
Yesterday Real defeated Barcelona (4:1) and triumphed in the Spanish Super Cup. Ukrainian goalkeeper Andrey Lunin, who played a full match against Xavi’s team, was also involved in Blancos’ victory.
The Spanish Super Cup triumph was Real’s 33rd competition under Florentino Perez’s tenure. Thus, Perez became the most titled president of Real Madrid in the history of the club, surpassing Santiago Bernabeu (32 titles).

Perez was twice elected to the post of President of Real Madrid (2000 – 2006 and since 2009). During Perez’s tenure, Blancos won six La Liga titles and triumphed in the Champions League five times.
Carlo Ancelotti’s team is in second place in the La Liga standings. On January 21, Blancos will play Almeria, and three days before that they will meet Atlético Madrid in the Copa del Rey.
