Three-time Indonesian Olympic weightlifting medalist dies at 43

Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) expressed condolences over the death of Indonesian weightlifter Lisa Rumbewas, Antara reports.

The athlete died at the age of 43. The causes of death have not been specified.

He noted that Rumbevas had a number of outstanding achievements as a medalist at three different Olympic Games.

The athlete won a silver medal at the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics and the 2004 Athens Summer Olympics, as well as a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics. .
