Svetlana Moiseeva has left the post of head coach of the Russian diving team, the president of the Russian Diving Federation announced. Stanislav Druzhinin on the Telegram channel.
Moiseeva has held this position since 2016. The specialist will now focus on his work within the federation, where he serves as vice-president and is a member of the presidium.
Druzhinin also said that two-time Olympic bronze medalist and two-time world champion Gleb Galperin was offered to become head coach of the Russian diving team.
“The Federation is grateful to Svetlana Borisovna Moiseeva for her many years of work with the Russian national team, which delighted us with victories at the continental and world championships and successes at the Olympic Games. Svetlana Borisovna’s services to Russian diving are marked by the title of Honored Coach of Russia, departmental and state awards, sincere love and gratitude of athletes.
Gleb Galperin, Olympic medalist, two-time world champion, multiple champion of Europe and Russia, president of the Moscow Diving Federation, was proposed to lead the coaching staff of the Russian national team. Gleb Sergeyevich has the necessary professional qualifications, successful coaching experience and proposals for improving the preparation of the national team,” Druzhinin said.
Russian divers can only participate in international competitions in neutral status if they accept the conditions proposed by World Aquatics.
