Russian figure skater Andrei Mozalev commenting on his transition to the group of the Honored Coach of Russia Eteri Tutberidze said drastic changes were necessary to progress in his career.
Earlier it became known that 20-year-old Mozalev left the group of coach Kirill Davydenko for Tutberidze.
— For 12 years I trained under the guidance of Kirill Anatolyevich Davydenko. And the decision to end the cooperation was very difficult for me! But the time came when I realized that without drastic changes, I would not be able to move forward.
I left Kirill Anatolyevich’s group and plan to continue my sports career in Moscow in Eteri Georgievna Tutberidze’s group.
Thank you, Kirill Anatolyevich, Denis Sergeevich, Igor Alexandrovich, Olga Vladimirovna, for every day of our journey together, for all our victories and defeats, for everything that you invested in me and for who I am now!
Thank you, Kirill Anatolyevich, Denis Sergeevich, Igor Alexandrovich, for the wonderful work you did on the staging of each of my programs, for the non-standard approaches to choreography, for the unique selection of music. The experience I gained with you is priceless, I will keep it and increase it!
Many thanks to my native Academy, personally to the director Tatyana Anatolyevna Menshikova, for your attention, for your responsiveness, for always being ready to listen and solve any problem. I wish you all success and great achievements. And a new, I hope very interesting, chapter has begun in my life,” Mozalev wrote on the social network.
Mozalev, the 2020 junior world champion, took 11th place in the singles competition at December’s Russian Championships in Chelyabinsk.
