“At the moment, we do not have any Russian athletes registered to participate in the World Aquatics Championships in Doha,” TASS quoted a representative of the World Aquatics communications department as saying.
Russians are not included among the participants in the World Aquatics Championships in Doha (Qatar). And this tournament is the last chance for athletes to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The FINA World Aquatics Championships will be held in Qatar from February 2 to 18.
On December 8, the IOC Executive Committee decided to admit athletes from the Russian Federation and Belarus to the 2024 Summer Olympics in individual neutral status. The 2024 Games will be held in the French capital from July 26 to August 11. But for that, they must qualify for the Games.
